First I just want to say, I love this game to pieces, as evidenced by the fact that I'm on this forum; I've never joined the community forum for any game's site, ever, much less contributed a post to it. So the fact that I'm here writing what's to come indicates I'm on board the 'Star Command' train...
I totally second the idea, though I hope that if it's implemented, they either tone down the enemy boardings a little, improve self-sufficient security force AI, or include the same 'Active pause' option that FTL has to give a bit of breathing room. Even a medium ship's a bit tricky for me to manage...
