Hiring should make it into alpha5 in some form, at minimum to at least allow you to add crew in some manner. If it doesn't know that we definitely plan you able to hire crew from both home world like "safe" places, as well as find mercenaries and other types of characters to join. We'd love to expan...

The FoW slow-down is related to how I'm handling "light" in the tile map, while not trying the engine updates too many quads when changing properties, gonna switch it over to a shader system and see if that helps. If that doesn't work may chunk the map into quadrants. Will be a fun exercise in profi...

There'll definitely be scanning (revealing FoW or other aspects). Not sure in what form yet (whether it's an object's capability or something else).

It should've, but I'll admit I forgot to go check the signups to see any who signed up since the last update (couple weeks back). I'll go check that and make sure to add new people, maybe you are one of those who signed up in the last week or two.

I'm not sold yet for mobile on 3d explosions nor other 3d effects, as I kinda enjoy keeping hold of the pixel/retro look. But I have messed around with "3d" lighting on mobile, it's cool in a way, but not sure it's the right direction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbFSIfEAM5k
